International road transport hauliers representing Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland and Romania signed the declaration calling upon the Conference of the Presidents of the European Parliament (CoP) to take into account thoroughly the case of hauliers form peripheral and other EU Member States in making the upcoming decision on the Mobility Package 1 affecting the undersinged in a disproportionately negative way.
In the absence of a well-balanced as well as economically, socially and environmentally substantiated decisions and, therefore, anticipating significant damage to both drivers and hauliers, the CoP is urged to leave the Mobility Package 1 to the next European Parliament.
